Safety Tips
Here is a quick safety list to review before you start working in your home or small office for the first time, and then review on a regular basis.- Check all electrical leads and plugs for damage and wear.
- Check to ensure electrical leads do not run under carpets and are never nailed or stapled in place.
- Make sure extension leads being used ONLY as a temporary measure.
(NEVER use extension leads as a means for permanent use). - Ensure that extension cords and circuits are not overloaded.
- Make sure all electrical appliances are turned off when you go to bed or leave the house.
- When your hands are wet NEVER touch anything electrical. For example, after having a shower do not use a hairdryer or touch a power point or a light switch.
- Watch out for power lines when working with extensions ladders. ALWAYS LOOK UP!.

Helpful Hints
Here are some steps to follow should your safety switch trip out for any reason:
- Isolate / turn off all power points and light switches, and unplug all appliances.
- Reset the safety switch.
- If the safety switch cannot be reset, contact Multi Power Electrical as a fault exists in the wiring or the safety switch itself.
- Turn on the power points one at a time or until the safety switch trips. If it activates you should contact us to fix the fault.
- If the safety switch dose not activate after carrying out step 4, plug your appliances back in the power points one at a time or until the safety switch activates. When it activates you have determined the cause of the fault. Take the faulty appliance to a qualified service centre for repairs.
